Erwin RobertsErwin Roberts is an attorney in Louisville and a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG). He served as secretary of the Personnel Cabinet, deputy secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, and executive director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. Mr. Roberts was assistant United States attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, Assistant Commonwealth Attorney, and served in the office of the Fayette Commonwealth Attorney. Mr. Roberts received the Unbridled Spirit Award for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2006. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors of Transylvania University and previously served on the Alumni Executive Board at Transylvania University. He is a member of the Louisville Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association. He has been a member of the Kentucky Employee Retirement System board, Kentucky Deferred Compensation board, Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs, and Blue Ribbon Panel on Health Insurance. Mr. Roberts served as the board chair of Kentucky Group Health Insurance and Governor's Blue Ribbon Task Force for the Merit System. He has been a member of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and was coordinator of the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council. He was a member of the Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court. Mr. Roberts holds a bachelor's degree from Transylvania University and a juris doctor degree from UK. His wife, Phelicisima Roberts, is a member of the EKU board of regents.
